POIs to Favorites

Did you load from Mapsource?

If you have POIs as waypoints in Mapsource, you can send to GPS. They will be saved to Favorites.

If you have POIs as gpx file, you can open in Mapsource and then send to GPS.

If you have gpx file, I think you can rename it temp.gpx and copy to GPS (garmin/gpx folder). Turn GPS off and back on and temp file will be copied into your Favorites.

I made them in Mapsource but what I need to do is move several POIs to my Favorites that are already on 750.

I will be visiting 3 countries and only want the ones for the country I am in at the time, so I want to put them in Favorites from the POIs within my 750.

I just found a way to do one at a time but I have several and would like to move the folder for each country at one time.

Which 'POIs on 750' are you talking about? Custom POIs that you loaded to 750 using POI Loader.

Was the POI file a GPX file?

If so, open it in Mapsource (you can drag-and-drop also). POIs will show up as Waypoints on map and in the left pane. In the left pane, click on Waypoints that you don't want>select X (delete). You can select multiple Waypoints by holding down CTRL or SHIFT when selecting. When you have the ones you want, select Sent to Device>Waypoints. They should now be in your Favorites.

Let us know if this works.

MapSource as you have seen will download your waypoints to Favorites when you save the route unless you uncheck that option when you send the route to your Nuvi. You could download the route again, and this time let it download the Waypoints too.

GeePeeEx Editor lets you load both Favorites and POIs and selectively merge the two. You can save either way you want; as a POI or to your favorites. I use it often to upload saved Favorites that I got using Where Am I. Then I edit them as desired and merge them into a POI. You can do the other way, too. Load a POI file, selectively choose which of the POI entries you want, and then save them to Favorites.
