I created a route in Mapqest.com and successfully downloaded onto the Nuvi 760. I can see the name of the route (filename.gpx) in Garmin-->GPX folder when I navigate to that folder from the computer. When I boot up the Nuvi and went to Whereto-->Route, it's not there. What am I, or did I do wrong?
Incidentally, I created a route in the Nuvi and saved it as "Home2OldMansCave", I can see it in Route, but if I navigate to the GPX folder in the Nuvi, on the computer, there is NO Home2OldMansCave.gpx file.
Is there something that I'm missing?

You need to import the route into the system from that file.
There's a file called My Data (something to that effect), go in there and find the route and tell it to "import". you'll be good to go then.

Please elaborate that a little more, the filename.gpx is already in the GPX folder on the Nuvi, so how and what do I use to "import" to system?

"My Data" is on the nuvi
On the Nuvi, go to Tools>My Data(you may need to scroll down)>Import Route.
nuvi 760, nuvi 765T, nuvi 855, nuvi 3790LMT, nuvi 3490LMT - SoCal area

Thanks DorkusNimrod & Uber360. I guess what I missed was that simple import step. Got it going now.
