Deleting POI from my Nuvi 660

Run the POI Loader program again with the Garmin attached to your PC via USB cable. The 4th screen you get to (right after the screen that selects your Garmin device) you have the choice to "Remove all previously installed custom POI's from your device."

Or connect with the USB cable and delete the POI.GPI file.

I want to remove only the WALMART flles. What is the best way to delete these and leave others on my unit?
Is there a way to see or select indivual POI's on my unit?

Delete the walmart from your computer then run poiloader again.

I normally delete everything and reinstall my POI. From what I've read in the past, I believe all you need to do it change the data in the same file named and reload the file using POI Loader.

This means deleting all the data that the Wal-Mart POIs are in and reload with an empty data file with the name.

There is no easy way to delete selected custom POIs once they are loaded on your unit. If your goal is to have only Sams Clubs loaded with no Wal-marts, then the easiest way is to only have the Sams file on your PC to start with.

On your PC, delete the POI files you don't want. Then download the Sams only file from here:

Then, run POI Loader again. All previously installed POIs will be deleted and replaced with only the POIs you have on your PC.
