To what "waypoints" are you referring? Do you mean Favorites, built-in POIs, custom POIs, or . . .

Favorites vs POIs

Although it is possible to create a custom POI file of favorites, the normal Favorites category is totally separate from POIs and isn't affected by anything you do within custom-POIs.

There are ways to remove all end-user data, but I'm guessing you didn't intentionally do anything like that. Other than that, I can't think of a way to lose your Favorites. One way to recover some deleted Favorites would be to go to Recently Found locations, and if you routed to any Favorites, you could select them and re-save them to Favorites.

If, by any chance, you created a POI file called Favorites, remember that those locations will only be found under Extras, not under the main Favorites section.

Sorry to hear about your problem. Did you have any luck finding any of your "favorites" files yet? Did you by any chance transfer them from your PC using Mapsource or were they all entered by hand??

Welcome to the site DebbiBob. The best advice I can give you right now is to read the FAQs and then visit Gary Hayman's site where you can also learn a lot. Gary is best taken in smaller doses as he, like POI-Factory is addictive.
