I bought a Garmin 255W. How can I get the coordinates from a location stored in my Favorites file to give to a friend who wants to go there too.

Extra_POI_Editor
I use Extra_POI_Editor to extract lat/lon info and do other editing.

Put the gps into simulator mode, then select Where To, select Favorites, and select the favorite. But instead of selecting Go, select Show Map. Then select Set Loc. This will place you at the location. Then go back to the main screen, select Tools and then Where Am I. It will then show you the coordinates for your location.
