Hi,
I'm a (new) proud owner of a Nuvi 255W - So far, this forum has been invaluable and has given me so much helpful information.

Thanks to all who keep the POI files updated. Looking forward to contributing as much as I can.

Yes! I already have voice alerts loaded for several POI files (thanks to all the info I was able to gather from POI-Factory). I was pretty proud of myself to find out they actually work. We got to test them out this past weekend on a trip from Indy to Nashville - rest areas and McDonald's. We got a big chuckle after leaving the interstate to hear "Mc-recalculating-donalds-ahead"

I am basically the co-pilot, meaning I'm in the passenger seat with a map on my lap. Now my Atlas is stored in the back seat and I am thoroughly enjoying our adventures with Nuvi!

I am always glad when a new community member gets it, and does their home work and does some reading.
There is nothing more rewarding than figuring it out on your own, especially since all the answers are right in front of you, laid out by all that came before you.

Great Job, and welcome to the community. Looking forward to seeing your input for others.
