I have a csv file I created and I can't set it up to be a tour guide so it will alert me when I am in a certain radius of the location. I have tried everything. I have looked at many other posts and have tried every suggestion and it still does not work. I renamed the file to have TourGuide in it and still nothing. It's a .csv file and I am loading it onto a Nuvi 660. Does anyone know how to set this up. Thanks
Show the file names and extensions
can you post them?
have you loaded other .csv files?
Does the poiloader try to load it?
I had a hard time setting them up to, so I know it can be very frustrating.

They Load Fine
Yeh they load fine through the poi loader I have tried it that way and manually placing in on the gps and it still does not alert me.
I used my self loaded
I used my self loaded TourGuide files for the first time yesterday. After a few glitches they seem to work ok. A few thoughts:
1. What is the name of you .csv file? It must contain "TourGuide". Case sensitive and no space.
2. Is your .mp3 file in the same directory on your computer and does it have exactly the same name but with the .mp3 extension?
3. Have you setup your Nuvi to automatically announce TourGuide locations?
As a test, when you "navigate to?" one of the locations in the file, does it announce? Does it show the speaker icon? This should help determine whether the problems is in the loading or nuvi setup.

As others has stated you
As others has stated you will need to name the files the same except for the extensions. For example.
Cracker Barrel TourGuide.csv
Cracker Barrel TourGuide.mp3
Cracker Barrel TourGuide.bmp
The word TourGuide in the file name will give you a 1/4 mile alert using the express mode.To increase that radius use the manual mode and set as needed.
The biggest problems with the alerts and icons not working are the files not being named the same except for extensions and having double extensions. Double-check each of them. The best way to prevent double extensions is to go to your folder options in the control panel and click view then find hide extensions for known file types and remove the check mark. Click ok.

TourGuide
I have been creating GPX files with GeePex and I only seem to need "TourGuide" in the link that I create for bmp, jpg and mp3. I haven't been putting TourGuide in the name of the gpx file.
