Amazon has the nuvi 200 with Mexico maps on sale for $139.99.
Expires May 25.
It may be worth it if you need Mexico maps as the maps alone sell for around $100.

Mexican Mapping
The problem with this is that it ONLY has the mapping for Mexico, NOT North American (United States). It will cost you an additional $80 for the USA mapping. This makes it a very expensive unit, unless you are going to use it strictly for Mexico.
When I worked at Garmin, this was a very common problem, a great price on something, the ad worded poorly, and then the customer upset because it did not have what they wanted/needed.
I would advise against...

hautedawg - could you please provide your source for the above statements. Because the Amazon page specifically states the unit includes both US and Mexico maps. So unless the vendor is outright lying then I believe you are incorrect.

Nuvi 200 comes with preloaded US maps (48 states, Hawaii and Puerto Rico). Nuvi 200 Mexico adds detailed maps of Mexico in addition to US maps.

The Amazon website is clear...I'm in no disagreement with it's description.
What is not clear is that hautedawg stated that the nuvi 200 Mexico unit comes with ONLY Mexico maps (and nothing else) and that Amazon's wording may not coincide with what you'll actually be getting.
So either a former Garmin employee is right and Amazon is wrong or vise-versa.

Maybe he was trying to be funny, but there's serious considerations for driving in Mexico nowadays.
Because of the drug cartel and other violence, even the State Department is recommending against travel to Mexico now.
I went there a couple of years ago, but I think I would make other plans today.
