Help. Garmin nuvi 360 problem

I just had the problem yesterday using my Nuvi 360 on a trip. Normally when the vehicle icon goes along the purple highlight direction trail, the purple highlight will disappear once the vehicle icon passes it. However, now the purple trail will not disappear once the vehicle icon passes over it. This can be very confusing if I pass a road and then make a u-turn and make a lots of turn in that certain area because then the map will be fills will purple trail highlight everywhere. It's kind of like the bread crumb leaving behind the vehicle. I have tried everything but with no luck.

Purple Trail

My Garmin 660 has done that since day one.

Would be nice to know if it is changable.

What you say was normal (the route changing back to black) would be abnormal on both my Garmin units. Although it might be more convenient for it to change, it does not do it on either a Nuvi 350 or a Nuvi 750. The purple (magenta - I think) line remains in front of, and behind the vehicle position.

Normally once the vehicle pass over the purple highlight, it should disappear behind the vehicle.

.

I don't have my GPS with me right now but looking at all garmin pictures, I'd have to agree that the road should remain highlighted instead of changing to un-highlighted.

Check it out yourself (Nuvi 360):

.

The magenta route line has always stayed magenta after the vehicle has passed over it...I've owned numerous nuvis and this is the way it's always been (at least for me). Frankly, I don't see how it could otherwise be any different.

Yea the picture does show it

Yea the picture does show it like that so maybe it's just part of my imagination.

magenta line

I am wondering if it has anything to do with the trip log turned on. I had a problem with trail lines showing and it was because I had the triplog function turned on.

No such thing on a 360.

Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.
