NEW Garmin Map Update CNNANT2010C

Has anyone installed this new map update on the Nuvi 7x5 series especially the 785T Unit (Garmin_RMU_CNNANT2010C.exe) does junction view and 3-D Buildings still work. Any issues anyone notice with this update.

DONT SEE

no c version comes up ?!for the 765T only for the 200's as per Garmin,The 2010C revision is to fix glitches that were occurring in the Nuvi 200 series and the 205 series. The mapping detail is identical to what you have already downloaded.

If you have any further questions/concerns, feel free to reply to this email, and I would be happy to be of further assistance!

Thats the file I downloaded

I have a 785T and just registered my unit and it said you get a free map update you can order map update on DVD or Download which was recommended to get the latest version. So I downloaded and the file I downloaded was Garmin_RMU_CNNANT2010C.exe I am just a little reluctant to update my unit as some have reported losing features with the 2010 update. My unit works flawlessly now and don't want to mess it up with a map update.

Garmin is expiring downloads....

Garmin seems to be expiring downloads before all the bugs are worked out of the map updates...at least my downloads for v2010 are. My update (v2010.10B) is working just fine. But I wonder if those with nuvi 2xx's who downloaded early versions of the 2010 "bad" update (limited memory nuvi resulting in incomplete map bug) are being offered an extended download time frame...

How long is the download good for anyways? It sure seemed awfully short but I was able to get 2010.10B. Is anyone else's download expired already?

mine too

15 days they give you now!

Same Here

I bought the download map update on Apr 12 and downloaded the original 2010.10 version. Then, on Apr 15, I downloaded the "fixed" 2010.10B version. I looked today and my download timeframe expired 2 days ago, Apr 26, so I can't get the 2010.10C version, not that I want or need it.

So the download expired 14 days after purchase.

Link for downloads?

I just got a Nuvi 750 last week and got the new maps (but not sure which version.) Is there a link to garmin website where they inform you of these releases... or what's the best way to do this. I'd like to not get hosed with buggy release if possible.

Register your unit online

To check your nuvi GPS map version, touch "Wrench," Settings, Map, Map Info.

When a free map is offered or a purchasable map is available, by going online to Garmin's website, then logging into mygarmin, you will be alerted to what's available for you.

If especially cautious, avoid firmware upgrades or map updates until a week or so after they've been offered and you see no adverse issues with them mentioned on this web site.

PS--don't forget to install and run WebUpdater, too, for firmware, traffic, voice, etc. updates for your 750.

I had version B . I went to

I had version B . I went to redownload the map and it is giving my the option for c now.

Should I install the C version or is the B ok?

I am still going to download it.

Questions

I just activated my nuMaps Lifetime.

What are the different versions with letters that everyone is referring to?

Are they full downloads (i.e., would version take 4-5 hours like the original update?) or are they just quick updates to the base map?

Why do they expire?

For those interested, Garmin has released an official fix for the 2010.10 Junction View issue which does not require you to download the entire 2010.10B update just to obtain the new Junction View file. The download is 36.56 MB.

Download the CNNA NT 2010.1 Junction View software version 2010.1 zip archive and extract the file (CNNA2010_10.JCV) in the compressed archive to a folder on your hard drive or directly to the x:/Garmin/JCV folder on the nuvi. Note: if there are other *.JCV files contained in that folder, they will need to be deleted as only one Junction View file in that folder ending with .JCV will be recognized.

http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=4457

Also, the actual file does NOT require an "official" name *except for the .JCV file extension which is required*. I just renamed the working JCV file to "blahblah.JCV" and it works just as it should.

I'd wager the 2010C file merges this fix in with the map download.

Make a backup, then try it? The earlier point in the thread gives coordinates that should trigger the junction view.

Check the version on your map info screen. If it says 2010.1 you have the latest.

The discussion here regarding "B" and "C" revs are to fix problems with features not available in your 750.

As mentioned in other posts, you can always install the garmin web updater and it will do all of the update checking for you.

Enjoy your 750 !

Just Installed CNNANT2010C

I just installed the CNNANT2010C Version onto my Nuvi 785T and everything works. Junction View and everything else. There are also new junction views added.

does this mean we don't need

does this mean we don't need to upgrade to 2010c if we are a 7x0 user? Only the 7x5 owner need to do so?

.

New Junction Views? Which previous map version are you comparing the 2010C map version to?

Yeah, I know that but I was just wondering if ENYPDE was comparing his "new junction views" to perhaps the 2009.11 version. If that's the case, then yes, there should be new Junction Views with 2010C maps compared to 2009.11 maps.

Yes I was referring to the map on my GPS 2009.11
