Chicago photo cameras?

Anyone here from Chicago?

I was driving on 88 East, near Aurora, IL, when I saw a sign on the median that read "Speed enforced by photo - automatic system" or something like that. My GPS with the latest photo radar file did not go off, and I drove on for 3 miles without seeing any photo radar cameras.

Any folks who drive in Chicago know what exactly the sign is referring to, and if there are any photo radar sites on the freeways?

On another note, I was being cautious and going about 5mph over the speed limit, but people were flying by me left and right. After going 10-15 mph over the speed limit, I was still the relatively slow car compared to everyone else.

I haven’t seen the cams

I haven’t seen the cams yet.......

I am sure they are coming.

Used to

live in Chicago. I would say, that is Chicago for you. If you drive the speed limit, you feel you are committing an offense with the way other cars zoom past you. Am I that slow, you wonder? I saw signs like the one you wrote of but had no sense of how those were enforced. But when one sees signs like the one in question, there is no harm in slowing down. Just in case. And, of course, for everyone's good and safety.
