Nuvi Bluetooth and Aux out Question

I have a Nuvi 360 and was using the unit to play MP3s over the speakers and received a call via bluetooth. When I answered the call I could hear the other party over the speakers but they could not hear me replying.

So my question is does the Nuvi stop using the integrated microphone when using the aux out port for the audio? Or is it not possible to use the bluetooth over the speakers?

Thanks!

,

My 660 works fine with the internal mic with the line out going to a cassette adapter. I have a Razr V3 phone. However, I may have never received a call while actually using the MP3 player. Does your setup work fine if you pause the MP3? If so, I'm probably in the same boat.

Not sure I understand the question about using BT over the speakers, but the Nuvi line does not support BT to a speaker; Zumo does as I recall because of BT speakers in helmets.

I can only speak for the 760, so don't know if things are the same on a 360, but I've used both the audio out and the FM transmitter for Bluetooth with the MP3 player on and two way conversations work fine - both outgoing and incoming. The MP3 player pauses, Bluetooth sound from the Nuvi comes through the car speakers and I can speak into the Nuvi microphone and be heard at the other end.

The BT sound through the car speakers is a function of the audio out/FM transmitter connection with the radio, not a BT connection direct to the speakers. The BT only connects to the phone.

Works the same with the MP3 player off as well.

has BT for headsetswith A2DP. (whatever that is).

I don't know WHY my address book on my LG Voyager doesn't load onto the Nuvi. It did it one time, so I know it will work, but I can't seem to get it to do it again. Is there something I need to do or am NOT doing?

Thanks

try this

completely cancel the bluetooth connection between you phone and the Nuvi.
Then put the Nuvi in discovery mode and find the LG Voyager, input the security code let them connect, then see if you have address book back.

So I figured out that the microphone won't work while I'm charging but when I disconnect the charging cord then I can use the bluetooth over the radio when I connect the aux out to the radio.

I also get a very bad sidetone when trying to listen to the garmin through the speakers if the charging cable is connected but not when I just use it on battery...

Anyone else have the same issues?
