Audible.com won't play on Refurb 880

My 8g microSDHC card for the refurbished Nuvi 880 is fine. The mp3s on it play fine. I can listen to the Audible.com books also on the card, as long as the card is not in the 880. It says the unit is not authorized for playing the books.

I go to the Audible.com website, and they do not have any information requiring a serial number or anything, so it is not an issue with them. I figure it is an issue with Garmin. In this refurb unit, there are several providers of audio books shown, where there was only audible.com there with my old unit.

Does anyone know how I can get it to let me hear my books? That is the one big thing I like to use the microSDHC card for.

Had to ACTIVATE AUDIBLE

Well, I got some help from Audible.com tech support, and it was over and done in a minute.

I already had AUDIBLE MANAGER software on my computer, and all I had to do was connect the Nuvi to the computer, look in audmgr window down in the lower left corner where it lists my "devices" and see the Nuvi (my Blackberry is also shown there). I had the microSDHC card aready inserted, on which I'd transferred the books from my computer when it was directly inserted into a card reader before I put it back in the Nuvi.

I had to activate the unit itself, since this was not the original unit, but a refurbed unit, so I had to choose (on the lower right side of the audmgr window) INTERNAL DRIVE (not external drive).
Then I disconnected the Nuvi from my computer, plugged it into its power cord, it turned on, and then I found Wrench > AudiblePlayer > browse, and suddenly I have BOOKS BOOKS BOOKS.

I do like my books.
And that, boys and girls, is the end of THIS story.

Good to know

Thanks for that info, not having that problem right now, but could see it would stump me under the same conditions...
