I'm considering a traffic receiver and this might be a dumb question. When you buy a MSN receiver with 1 year free, can you sit on activating it for awhile, or does your purchase date have anything to do with it?
If I find a good deal on one and wanted to wait a few weeks or even months to activate it, will it be a problem?
Thanks for any info that anyone may have.
You have to go to a web page
You have to go to the MSN Direct web page and enter your information to activate the service. The 1 year clock doesn't start until then.
My question to you is why
My question to you is why would you wait in activating the service since you already purchased the receiver? Since the lifetime MSN, if you decide to purchase that contract, I think if I remember correctly, at this time MSN only will support it till 2012 or 2013 with the possibility of it being longer.

Save the registration information...
I've had to re-register my MSN receiver twice so far; once just because, and the second time was after applying a firmware update.
