Thanks Norm, I hope to have a new list available next week. I started to email local councils (doing it in groups of 80) and I've been getting feedback from a few of them already. Those along with a few other notes will be in the next release.

I have sent an excel list to Jaygorman on May 10th for him to look at. It includes the sites shown below (all verified with Google Earth, Camp web sites and Council web sites). I have found that both the National BSA site and local council sites are very inaccurate. That is due to a lot of camps being combined and/ or closing. As an assistent scoutmaster, we find that there are more things for the boys to do than join Scouts, therefore the camps get closed due to lack of use.

Thanks for this camp. I probably did not add it originally since I did not have a street name/address. However, I did add it now.

Thanks to all the feedback I've gotten. I updated the file as of tonight with the latest updates. I've had great feedback and additions from local councils, scouts, scouters, and people that have/do use the camps. I hope to send out a note to the next group of councils soon to verify the next round of camps.

Your POI file got me in the general area, but the actual location for Camp Josepho is several miles away along fire roads. The coordinatesfrom my GPS at the main gate (in decimal degrees) are 34.08132/118.52092. Thanks for assembling this file!

Thanks for the info. I'm just getting back from 2 weeks of camping. I will update the file as soon as I get situated.

Most of POI's point to center of camp but how to enter the camping area. The best way to do is set the POI point at the Main Gate just tiny off the road. This way, I can follow the GPS mapping to arrive the point of enter and can seen the Scout sign to enter.

Thanks, this is the first one my son and I are attending. If any of your boys are into patch trading, we are in subcamp 3 (troop 347). We are one of the last very small councils around and did a one time limited run on trading patches. Have them ask for Nathaniel.

Here are two camps in the greater Cleveland Council:

The Greater Cleveland Council also own a high adventure canoe base called Tinnerman, Located on the French river off the Georgian Bay (Canada) the base camp is only accessible by boat and is located at N46 00.898 W80 46.122. The camp is accessed via the Hartley Bay Marina which is located at: 2870B Hartley Bay Rd. Alban, ON P0M 1A0 N46° 2'6.82" W80°45'38.10"

I sent a contact request to Jaygorman, but never heard a response. I can take over this file if nobody else wants to. I don't get to a lot of the camps, but would be willing to update it from anyone who has some new ones to add.
