Converting to Sony's XML Format (Answer, not question)

I've got a Sony NV-U73T on the way and I just found out that it doesn't seem to have a way to load POIs. However, since I'm a programmer (or used to be), I figured out what might be a hack to make it work.

***Warning: Geek Content Below***

Son'y Nav-u PC software allows you to back up your POIs into a proprietary "Address Book" XML file. It also allows you to open these files and restore them. Anyway, I hacked together a little VBS script that converts the Garmin CSV POI files to Sony's XML format. Its cludgy and will get tripped up depending upon the file format and delimeters (comma only, comma with quote, mixed, etc.)

I've uploaded it here:

If anyone out there with a little scripting knowledge can get this to work before I get my unit, please let me know smile

Tempted to get a 4.8" models

Tempted to get a 4.8" models that Sony is in the process of firesale but I oh so hate their proprietary crap they pull like this. If there ever was a company that has a motto of "Our way or no way" it's Sony.

Sony lost the Betamax war, but won the blu-ray war. Maybe they think they are on a roll.
