I successfully paired my phone and 765t, but now I’m wondering if I can add a Bluetooth ear piece. I would like all the audio to come to the ear piece as well as have the ability to use the phone through the 765t. In other words not pairing the ear piece to the phone itself. Has any one had any experience with this?
I am not sure if you can do
I am not sure if you can do it. Bluetooth on GPS selects only one device at a time.
Iphone XR, Drivesmart 61,Nuvicam, Nuvi3597
give a try
I have two mobiles phones "registered" to my nuvi. I didn't try to connect my bluetooth earbud to nuvi, thinking it won't work since I feel you can select one bluetooth device at a time, but, why not give a try?
Try it, but I doubt it will work.
The problem is that both the GPS and a Headset expect the other party to provide the source audio stream (i.e. a phone).
In order for this to work directly, the GPS would need to support sending audio output to Bluetooth instead of speaker.
Krieger.
Only one device at a time can be paired
Only one device at a time can be paired with the Nuvi.
Garmin Drive Smart 55 - Samsung Note 10 Smartphone with Google Maps & HERE Apps
Possible Solution
I was able to pair my nuvi with my car radio. I also pair my cell phone with my car radio and the sound for both comes out the car speakers.

FM transmitting with a FM headset

Jen,
Your nuvi audio coming from car stereo is through FM transmission. So, you have both FM transmission and Bluetooth functioning. If you have a FM headset, then, you can achieve what bluetooth headset is doing. however, be caution in the use of headset since it may impair your hearing of outside sounds including police/fire truck sirens. I feel nuvi bluetooth alone is sufficient.

Boy wouldn't that be cool if you could but only one devise at a time. I tried it will not work.
