GPS recommendations

Good day all,
I own a Garmin Nuvi 255W and am satisfied with it but the 255W is limited in that routes may not be downloaded to the 255W from the Garmin MapSource software. One must select way points as "via points" to create a route of sorts.
I am ready to upgrade and would be interested in any recommendations of other Garmin GPS units that permit downloading of routes from MapSource software or even Google Maps.

My 760 works with MapSource routes
The 760 doesn't seem to have problems importing routes from either MapSource or Google Earth. As for getting routes from Google Maps, the last time I looked at it you could only send waypoints, not routes.
