Very Good

I searched back a few weeks, then thought you must drive back and forth all the time...didn't realize that there were multiple pages smile.

Drive safe and look out for the 4-wheelers.

Thought I was a yoyo?!!!

LOL If you look at my file, http://www.poi-factory.com/node/3664 , you will see there are now 911 locations that I have been to in the past 4 years. That doesn't count the ones that I've been to several times. I drive Expedite and get to go to more unique and unusual places. So, there's no yoyo here!

Daniel

I'm using a Sprint aircard. Works 98% of the time. Some places are tough because of the non-digital roaming.

My GPS locations are transmitted with a Blackberry using Sprint.

A friend of ours

used a something like this a few years ago. We tracked him all the way from Virginia to Alaska and then up the "Haul Road" as far north as you can drive in Alaska. It was really, really cool! Just wish I could remember exactly what service he used so we could do the same during our coming travels....

Your parked

within a mile of were my dad wad born and brought up. When he was a kid he helped cut the timber that was on the 95 pathway. I still have relatives in the area.

Update

For those of you who have been tracking me and noticed that I haven't moved for a few days, you're right. I'm still in Kenly NC sad

This is a slow time of year for us, so there'll be some sitting and waiting. This happens every time at this time of year for Expeditor's.

Trucking is not always as exciting as it seems.

If I take the box off of this truck I'll get fired! It's a straight truck. But thanks for the info. If I get a chance later, maybe I'll check it out.

Still not moving...

So are you able to sit at a customers yard, or do you have "company" locations to wait?

You can add that BBQ place to the BBQ POI in this thread if you haven't already:

Daniel

Sometimes customers are kind enough to let me park in their yard for a while. Otherwise I head for a truckstop.

I'm guessing the time you look at the track, I was home. The location you saw was my company's yard. I'm back on the road again heading for Baltimore, MD to the Coast Guard base. Delivering Monday.

Keep checking!

I never made it to the bbq place. Dispatch called and all heck broke loose! When we get a call, we have to go, NOW! LOL Maybe next time I'm in the area I'll check it out.

I stopped in at Sams when I was in Texas in November 08. They had a tracker there at that time. I'm sorry I don't remember the name of it. It was in with the GPS's

I tried following your advice... but, somewhere I got off-track and got old. smile

"For those who fought for it, freedom has a flavor the protected will never know."

Update

Those of you who have been tracking me may have noticed that I haven't moved in a week. That's because the trucking industry is EXTREMELY slow this time of year. Also, what makes it worse is the economy. Factories are producing and shipping only enough to keep going.

So, keep checking. I WILL be moving again!

This is suppose to be my full time job, driving. But lately I think I'm a parking lot tester!

Maybe I should start a lottery as to when I'll get my next load. Can I put you in for $5...$10? laugh out loud

Getting paid for holding down parking lots?

mrgreen The company I drive for does not include extras, such as pay, for holding down parking lots, although I am holding down this one REAL hard! Lotta work; just no paying runs! It'll get better. Trust me.

Failure is not getting knocked down; it is not getting back up!
