Garmin nuMaps Guarantee!

I was wondering according to Garmin and there nuMaps Guarantee there may be updated maps for nuvis within 60 Days or registration and acquisition. Has anyone recently received a new maps update which would fall into this catagory or is Garmin playing a game with its customers making them think they might actually get something in return for being a customer and buying there device over the competition.

Actually I was wanting to know if persons who have purchased a nuvi which was already loaded with 2009 maps have had any further mapping updates. Nuvi's purchased before the nuMaps Guarantee was posted on Garmins website were already receiving a 2009 Update free. Thanks for everones responce...

My 750 had the 2007 map software on it, when I registered the unit, I was offered an updated 2008 map in either download form or in CD form witch would cost $10.00 for S&H. I chose the CD and I received it within a weeks time. It's not a scam!

reconditioned 680--
I picked up a reconditioned 680 on eBay, arrived today. It has 2008 maps on it. When I checked online, garmin offered to sell me the 2009 maps. Sent an e-mail to support, we'll see what they have to say.
Update 11/25: Got an e-mail from Garmin telling me they were sending me an update DVD.
Can't beat that for service!

Same happened for me. I chose to download from their website. 3 1/2hr later I was ready to install the 2009 map. The file is 2.04gb in size. Installed fine and I have a refurbished 680, like brand new, with all the latest updates. Sweet!

I didn't have any issues when I registered mine,and uploaded the 2009 maps...works wonderful,and no charge..
Same here, I bought a 660
Same here, I bought a 660 this past summer, loaded with 2007 maps, downloaded the 2008 maps no charge. It does take a good 3 1/2 to 4 hrs. to complete everything, though.

Bought a C580 about 2 months ago, had problems downloading the 2009 map update, and Garmin sent out a DVD no charge! Couldn't ask for more.
