Getting Speed camera alerts but never D/L POI

Newbie Here...
I d/l State parks and restarea. I had no interes in speed cameras because there do not seem to be any/many in New England area.

I am now getting speed camera alerts with multiple alert sounds.

Anyone how to get rid of the warnings and sounds.

Go to Garmin\POI directory, delete the poi.gpi file (state park.gpi or restaurant.gpi)

Lets talk about your download now
state park.csv
state park.mp3
state park.bmp
restaurant.csv
restaurant.mps
restaurant.bmp

I would play each mp3 file, they should say state park or restaurant. If not replace the wrong mp3 file.

I wouldn't set alerts on either of those groups but if I did it would probably be 5,000 or 10,000 feet.

Which GPS brand and model do you have? Is it possible that the GPS does its own speed camera alerts and they have nothing to do with your POI downloads.
