Just when we thought Garmin had forgotten us 660 owners.
Bluetooth Fw 3.40
changes from v.3.10 to v.3.40
- made general improvements in hands-free operation
I know, I know, let's not stand up and applaud all at once.

Nuvi Bluetooth
Hi, everyone,
I've always been disappointed in the "Bluetooth" performance of my 660. Folks tell me I sound like I'm in a hole (echo), and I'm constantly having to repeat myself. I even added an external mic (not Garmin) which is directly over my head, but it didn't help much. As a result, I went back to using my phone in the usual manner. I just updated my Nuvi online and noticed that the Bluetooth firmware had been updated. As yet, I haven't had a chance to try it out. We'll see.

You're welcome tailspin. I agree with Miki that the Bluetooth feature has room for improvement; I find myself asking the other person if they are hearing me OK from time to time. Probably force of habit and maybe not trusting the feature due to a bad experience. That said the feature has worked well enough for me, particularly during my vacations, when I've contacted restaurants, hotels, etc. while on the road that I will still use it. We'll see if the update does anything for reception improvements.
