GeoCoding Photos

Is there a simple way to geocode photos for use on a Garmin nüvi? I checked some of the Panoramio JPEGs and they don't have any EXIF info. Where are the coordinates stored?

Does this help?...

See Garmin Connect Photos:

I can see the advantage of taking an image that is already geocoded and converting it to a Favourite or Custom POI, in one step (ie if you have a camera capable of recording gps coordinates or if you routinely record track logs that are later applied to your images)...

However, if you're only geocoding the image for that reason, it just seems an unnecessary step...

What is it you have in mind?

Just curious

I just wanted to see if I could. I actually don't see much of a benefit to using photos as Favorites. However, I wanted to see if I could turn some of my existing photos into Favorites rather than linking them to a Favorite as an icon. None of my photo software recognizes the location data embedded in the JPEGs.
