POI help

I've loaded several POI (csv) files without a problem, but have a question about a speed camera file that I downloaded from this site. Can someone explain the following line:

-111.96098,33.42534,Speed Camera 40 MPH .02300,xx xxxxx xxxxxxxx

I used the xxxx to wipe out the text loacation. In the above line, in order for this POI to trip, I believe there needs to be an @ before the 40. Is that not correct?

This is just one line in the file, all other lines are similar. So setting the 40 MPH during manual mode of the POI loader won't work.

Also, what is .02300 in the above line?

Are the speed and red light files available for download on this site for ALL GPS manufacturers? IOW, do I have to edit the file to make it Garmin compatible?

POI Loader Help

Go to POI Loader help and you'll find the work "Speed" will set an alert:
If a file contains "GATSO," "mobile," "SPECS," "safety," "speed," or "camera," but does not have a speed, POI Loader uses a default alert speed of 0, which means you will always be alerted. You may also be interested in:

Redlight and Speed Camera POI

Works fine as is on my Garmin 260. Don't think you need to worry about the text format.

That is correct

When you put the @ before the speed the alert will still alert you and if you are going over the speed the drop down window in the middle turns red. So when you go to load with the poi loader don't choose anything. If you put in a specific speed or distance then it will alert all. I have set all of the speed cameras where I live with the@ and it works fine.

Now this 111.96098,33.42534,Speed Camera 40 MPH .02300 is longatuide , latitude, camera type, speed for camera, and camera ID.
