Well I did it last night, I purchased the LIFETIME Traffic renewal for my Nuvi 660. I ran into some problems inputting the new code that they sent me, and I thought I was going to have to call Garmin to rectify the matter however, after rebooting the unit and allowing it to communicate with the traffic reciever for a couple of minutes, I was able to successfully input my new traffic code.
Now when I click on subscriptions it shows LIFETIME TRAFFIC. So, we'll see if it was well spent money over the next couple of months. Oh and I suppose this would increase the resale of the unit should I decide to sell it in the future.
Is this inclusion any
Is this inclusion any different from the new models that say they include advertising?
I ask because your paying over and above the bundled price(3 month sub), and it 'may' follow a different internal pricing model.

I haven't seen any advertising YET but will let you know if I do. In addition, that advertising might be something added to only the NEW models with NEW traffic receivers.
The subscription was $60.00 per yr and IMO it just wasn't worth it.

Paid Lifetime vs Free Lifetime
When you pay the $60.00 for lifetime it is ad free, as opposed to free traffic that does indeed have ads after a stop of 10 seconds or more.

So far the traffic update is working great! This rainy weather has given me a chance to use it plenty with all the accidents on the roads because of it. MIND YOU, I'm NOT HAPPY about the accidents but I am glad that my traffic update is routing me around them all.
