Can POI show up on map like the Magellans?

I've got a Nuvi 360 and love it, but would really like to see the POI's on the map like Magellan does. It seems that the POI's I put in "my favorites" show up, but no others. It would be helpful when travelling, especially how Magellan has the touch interface that brings up the POI info at a finger touch.
I apologize if this sounds confusing. I blame it on the cold medicine I'm taking!!!! lol

Thanks in advance for any info/insight!
Ken

Can POI show up on map like Magellan

I see the POIs, but have to really zoom in on the screen.

Was leaning toward the Magellan 760. I also like how very simiply by touching the POI it brings up the info and can be your next via destination. But decided the 350 was a better unit for me. The Nuvi be an even greater unit if it could do the same.

Hi All,

Just wondering if one can push the screen on the Nuvi 760 to dial the POI telephone Number or must you physically dial the number.

Thanks,

Ray

No matter where you are "Life is Worth Living".

.

For built in POIs and Favorites, you can just touch the phone icon to dial the number.

For Custom POIs, you can do the same if the file has been set up as a GPX with the numbers dialable.

Yes

If the POI is written correctly as gpx, you can just touch the screen. Evidently, some gpx files here need tweaking to do this.

Why didn't you get the 360 if you wanted Bluetooth capability?

I don't think that's what Harvey meant.

I think he was wanting to be able to touch the POI icon and have it bring up the POI info and then be selected for navigation. You can't bring up the info, but (at least on my Zumo), you can select Go! to navigate to it.

Yeah, you can't do that as

Yeah, you can't do that as far as I know. What I usually do is just go back a few and select "recent" to get the info if I need it.

You are correct -- I got confused when the direction of the thread changed and thought Harvey had been talking about the same thing (dialing). As for touching a POI and hitting "Go" to navigate to it, the 660 does allow that.
