Remember we have families that have their children involved in the GPS fun and we don't want to make parents feel uncomfortable when their children ask what that word means.

I will be getting a flu shot
I will be getting a flu shot this year, it seems that this is the season when young school age kids bring home every illness going around. Not sure when this changes but I will welcome it when it does.
I have a 2nd grader and a kindergartner, we get all the germs.

Gas prices down again
Regular was down to $3.38 per gallon today. Hope the trend continues. And I hope my sister in NC can find a station to fill up the tanks of her two vehicles.

Sorry Bob, I meant mine as a lighthearted comment. I apoligize if you thought I was serious. I enjoyed your comment and thought it was really funny. Maybe just a poor choice of words on my part when I said "Bash" but again, meant it in a very lighthearted way. No Harm, No Foul.
Now if we could get the Cubs Pitchers to throw some strikes. Eight Walks last night, come on give me a break. And why do coaches let the Pitchers dig such huge holes before even getting somebody up in the bullpen. They did not start the bullpen until after the Grand Slam.
Oh Well, we still can cream the Dodgers tonight.

Good grief. Gas is $2.99 a gallon in Akron. Hard to believe that I'm excited when I see that price. It's still about 40 - 50 cents higher a gallon than this time last year.

because down here in SE Ohio, it's still $3.65. Price goes up everyday when oil is up, but takes forever and a day to drop a couple of pennies.

There is a Chemical plant there that was flooded with reports of water 5 feet deep from Ike. The site supplies raw material for the place I work and the disruption may cause lay offs here.
Little word is coming from management on the sites status and I’m poking around to see if there are ‘boots on the ground there’ and any other information. There is scant information in other news sources.
It’s a big well known company.

Rotten luck with weather
Kid's birthday party I was at yesterday was from 1-3pm. It rained here in Chicago from 12-4pm. So the kids were all cooped up inside instead of running around outside and using the "moonwalk" bouncy thing.
But Saturday's weather was amazing for apple-picking in Wisconsin!

Well it's been awhile since I've been able to visit the ol' POI community. Sorry 'bout that... I've just been so darn busy! But I've missed the chit-chat and all of the positive efforts to keep everyone on the straight and narrow highway. I have definitely felt the absents of this site. I actually didn't realize that it had become so much a part of my life, so I promise to Miss POI that I'm going to do better in trying to keep in touch. Sorry to hear that you've been ill. Hope all is well by now. Here's to everyone's health, wealth, and happiness!!!
