Nuvi 660 No Satellites

All of the sudden when I turn on my Nuvi 660 it won't connect to any satellites. I called Garmin and they weren't much help. The unit is out of warranty so if anyone has any ideas on how to fix this please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

How long have you had it on? Where are you trying to get a signal?

I have it hooked up in my truck and it never connects. No matter where I am.

Never Connects

Hows the battery?
Did you try a reset?
Does the unit even turn on?
Is the connection to the power socket ok?
Too many reasons, need more info for the group to supply the answers.

How long in truck

Have you been in the habit of leaving it in the truck all the time? If so, this is about the time of year that things finally fail after being FRIED by being left inside closed vehicles in the summer time.

Battery May have died...

All was working fine until I turned it off and unplugged it to hide it away when I got out of the vehicle. Now it will not turn on unless it is plugged in. I have tried several hard resets and updates...no luck. It will boot up like normal and then everything looks normal but it never tries to connect to the satellites.

Garmin is going to replace

After talking with Garmin on the phone they told me that since it was out of warranty that it would cost me $250 to fix this.
I emailed support and after a few emails they are going to fix this for free. Sending me an RMA. After doing some research online it appears that several models are having this same problem...so if you GPS quits trying to connect to satellites and is out of warranty don't take no for an answer. They will replace it.

I had the same problem, luckly mine was still under warranty. They (Garmin) said it was a known defect and replaced it for me.
