MSN Traffic Receiver $75

Thought this was a really good deal, so I ordered one. With shipping and tax, it came to $84.

I have the TMC cable now, but the free subscription expires in a couple weeks. For $25 more, I'll give MSN Traffic a try for a year. And I end up with an extra car charger out of the deal for $25.

Great Choice

I purchased from the above company recently and am very happy with their service and fast shipping. You will be also.

MSN

If this does not include software, how does the subscription work? Is it tied to one GPS or to the receiver?

I've used Traffic with a Navigon and it was ok but not worth the $100 they charge for it. MSN is supposed to include features.

I am pretty sure it is tied

I am pretty sure it is tied to the receiver since when you connect to your unit, you have to type in the new serial number to activate the device. at least that was the case for me.

Software is built in

The software is built in to the GPS already. Connecting a traffic receiver enables the traffic menu. The subscription is tied to the traffic receiver, not the actual GPS. So it should be possible to move it from one compatible GPS to another without licensing issues. I'm sure someone else here has tried this and can verify that.
