880 Remote Control Firmware Update

I was on my way to dinner and having my 880 connected as usual, all of a sudden a screen popped up and it said Remote Access firmware update, the only problem was it never went past 1% mark, even while I left on battery and then upon leaving the restaurant, it still stayed on 1%, so I disconnected the unit and I figured Garmin must have an update, connected to webupdater, and no update.. Anyone have a clue.????

I've been using my 850 all day long & haven't received any such notice.
Also, I didn't see any new drivers, firmware, or updates on Garmin's manual download page, and my webupdater shows nothing available.
My guess would be you experienced a temporary glitch or hiccup in the system.

I connected to webupdater today, and sure enough there was an update for Remote Control Firmware Update, but it went so fast, I wonder what is going on with my unit. I hate to think I will have to send this one back also.
