I'm getting better but still need a little information. How do you start a route that you have saved and then include the POI for Rest Areas and State Parks and have them all work together. The route would be loaded from My Data>>Import which puts it in the Tools>Routes. So you start that and then how do you start the other from Where To> Extras> Customer POIs? Hope that makes sense. Net-Net how do you have multiple routes going at the same time?
You have me lost
And so would you, with multiple routes at the same time!
Are you asking how you would follow a route and then search for and take a detour to a POI along the way?
Try rephrasing your question.
How about multiple options en route
Maybe this isn't possible. As I am driving to a designated place, is it possible to have a Rest Area POI started, so when I come upon a Rest Area I am notified, and in addition, I would like to be notified when I am close to a State Park? So basically, what I am asking is as you said, multiple OPTIONS (not routes) at the same time?
I think you are making it more complicated than it is
This might help.
Read up on how POI's work. I'd start with some of the links at the top of the page. (FAQ, POI)
Custom POI's, once loaded to your unit are there all the time regardless of what route you are on. If you have set the alert as recommended for about 2 mi. you will get a warning as you approach a rest area.
The same would apply to state parks if you used the loader to set alerts for that file too.
Is the above getting at what you were asking??

Exactly what I needed to know about POI
Thanks jqua. That is exactly what I needed to know. That makes things much easier.
