Anyone download a new voice from Pigtones?

Funny voices, but if you click on the Install Instructions tab it states that the voices do not support TTS.

A search for "Pigtones" will reveal some posts of poor results.

I purchased YODA last week he says turn here you must, turn there you must. Its ok nothing to jump up and down about.

I downloaded Yoda voice for my street pilot 530. It worked fine, but after an hour in to the trip I was over it. You can only take so much of "turn right you must" I reinstalled the original file using their software and everything was back to normal.

I bough Ozzy for my son-in-law from a site in the UK. The voice is annoyingly monotone and not as fluent as the Brit & Aussie voices on my nuvi 750.

Although he does call out for Sharon when I make an unscheduled turn and tells her that we're ******* lost. I've heard the voice of the villian from The Simpsons... sounded pretty authentic.

When I was very young, I spent weekends with my grandparents, who spoke German to each other. When Star Wars was released, I immediately recognised that Yoda is German. Who else puts his verbs at the end of the sentence? Yoda will be more compatible for those who are bi-lingual in German and English.

My own taste would be Alan Rickman or the HAL 9000.

P.S. I am eagerly awaiting the day that Alan Rickman plays Richard III. That is a DVD I shall cherish.

Has anyone had to revert back to the original? If so how is it done?

Just use the software you used to install the new voice to revert back to the original. It automatically makes a backup.

That is too bad. I would think there is a big market for fun voices with TTL.

I would buy one in a heartbeat. I really wish Garmin would realize that there is a market for this and release more than just the Halloween and elf voice. Surely a company the size of Garmin could get some celebrity (or at least decent impersonators) voices.

While some of the samples sound pretty good there are also some terrible impersonations. In all cases they are unlicensed. They are trying to get around copyright law by calling them "parodies". There is a disclaimer for every voice: "All voices are a impersonation or parody of original character". In others words, "our stuff is all fake and we are trying to make money off of other's intellectual property".

The site is full of misspellings and incorrect classifications. The whole thing is amateurish, overpriced, and in some cases probably illegal. I am staying away.

Has anyone tried to put these voices on a Zumo 550 ?

I have tried with no luck, Just wondering if anyone has any tips .......
