Corrected issue with unit not speaking at appropriate time.
Have downloaded it and will take it for a spin.

Looks like V4.4 Fixes the Problem....
Just downloaded and installed v4.4 on the 260. Seems to properly voice turn warnings now using the simulator. I'll test it in real-time later today when we go camping. Glad Garmin was so quick with the fix!
Works like a Charm
Took it for a spin, After hitting Go,
1. turn right on A St.
2. continue 1.5 miles
3. turn on to B St. in 0.1 miles
4. in 200 ft. turn to B St.
Thanks to all who called and emailed Garmin. The interaction here is another reason why Miss POi and the POI Factory has become our lifeline for information.

The wide screen models use different firmware versions.

How do I know I need this?
Now that I overlapping maps on my nüvi 200, thanks to the World Wide Routable Base Map, what symptoms do I need to watch for to tell if I need to install the Version 4.30/4.40 update, which improves handling of the situation where overlapping map data is present on the device?

would be routing problems when a road "stops" at the edge of a map, only to be continued on the other map at a slight offset.

Interesting. That shouldn't be a problem since I don't plan to drive across the US/Mexico border.
How does the nüvi prioritize map overlays? I assume that any loaded map will have priority over the installed basemap. I have two supplemental maps that cover the same area (City Navigator NA, and World Routable). How does the GPSr decide which to display and which to use for routing?
