Medion md96820

Hello,

I just purchased this medion brand unit and stumbled upon the poi factory...I want to download the wal-mart poi, but when I tried, my system would not recognize the file format .csv. My unit uses Gopal Assistant and is looking for a .apd file extension. Is there a way that I can convert? or am I out of luck?

Look forward to a response.

Thanks so much!

.

I have never heard of that unit. Can you access the manufacturer's website and/or documentation and see if it make any mention to being able to add user level Custom POIs?

Re: Medion

Found this software called POI-Warner, it is mainly intended to add POI proximity warnings to various GPS models that don't feature it, but it also lets you add custom POIs, and it supports Medion models, so it may help you:

As always, being a 3rd party software, check first to make sure your warranties are not affected.

Otherwise, the manufacturer's website is
http://www.medionusa.com/

Hope this helps,
Krieger.

Can't find the info on whether this unit can use custom poi's, however judging from it's operating system, I would say no. POI-warner would cure this, and I see no reason why it would void any warranties because your GPSr uses a windows OS.

POI-Warner (Medion Version)
