Trouble with POI Loader

I can't get POI loader to load files on my Garmin 660. I created a folder called Custom POI and have four different downloads in there. when I direct POI loader to that folder and try to get them loaded on my Garmin it says there are no data files in that directory. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help you can give me.

poi loader

your poiloader works just fine

go to your c-drive and locate where you keep your poi's
then when you start your poiloader, make sure you select the same location where you keep your poi's on your c-drive. Also make sure that you download to the correct drive which shows up when connecting your Gps via usb.
it will normally be showing up under the GPS unit folder (eg. J, or K drive)

I am guessing the Custom Folder is on your pc

If so and the csv files are in the folder, After you start poi loader, and have selected save to Garmin device, selected your device, selected install new pois on your device, then you browse to the folder "Custom Poi". It is asking for the location of the folder, not the pois themselves. At this point if you click on next, it should load them to your gps

Your wording sounds to me as if you've done exactly what has been recommended above. Are your POI files either csv or gpx and have you checked for either a lack of extensions or double extensions? Any weird (disallowed) characters in the filenames? Did the files come from this site? If you created the files yourself, do you have longitude in field 1 and latitude in 2 (they are often reversed).

.

And be sure that if the files were zipped, that you've unzipped them into that folder.
