America First Credit Union Locations

Hi guys. I just finished up creating a custom POI file with all the America First Credit Union locations in Utah.

This was my first POI project...and I learned a lot while doing it, but I made a few mistakes along the way. First of all, I uploaded a version of the finished project yesterday (we'll call it version 0.5), but now that I've gone back and fixed all the errors, I can't find the file here so I can delete it and get the good version uploaded. When I upped it yesterday, it said everything uploaded successfully...sooooo where did it go? :?

Just a few things I had to learn the hard way:

• Always use the correct coordinate format! This is what really screwed me up.
• Adhere to the proper CSV format. Once I had all my coordinates converted to the proper format, I had to deal with another format issue…but with Excel made it easier by moving entire columns, and the “find and replace” function helped add all the (“) (,) (“,”) I needed.
• Mapsource is a piece of garbage. I ended up using Garmin’s POI Loader to get all my files on to my nuvi 760.
