Anybody having problems with the MP3 player?
When scrolling through songs on the MP3 player, intermittently the GPS will turn itself off.
Does it with a full charge on the battery or even when plugged in.
I had a 750 and it did it. I exchanged it for a 760 and it does the same thing.
Just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this problem before I contact tech support or exchange it again.
Bad mp3 files
Yes I had that same problem a while back. I found the I had 1 mp3 file that was causing the problem. It was corrupted.
The way I found it was to load 1/2 the mp3 files at a time and then test. When I found the half that failed I divided that half into half and tested. And kept dividing it down by half until I found the exact song.
Deleted the bad mp3 and reloaded all the rest and it worked.
Hopes this helps

This 'turning off', is the Garmin's equivalent of a Windows 'Blue Screen'
If you poke around in the various diagnostics logs, you'll probably find it logged a fault.
