How do I Create a POI File?

I am a newbie so please be gentle.
I have many GDB & GPX files that have useful info. How do I create a POI file from them?
Thanks.

GDB

If I'm not mistaken, the GDB filetype was changed to gpi, so keep that in mind as you read.

GDB

A gdb extension is a Garmin GPS Database which is used in MapSource.

This appears to be an older file format. MPS files are used now. MapSource must be used to convert between .GDB and .MPS file formats
