Nuvi 650 question about 3D mode (is there one) and q about GeePeeX

One, I guess the Nuvi 650 doesn't have a 3D mode like a Tomtom? That sucks! I wish it did (or maybe I am blind) but I don't think so.

Also - I am uploading my gpx files to LiveMaps to tweak them, and then I export from there. That doesn't work when I load it into POI Loader, so I got the trial of the GeePeeX. I was wondering - is there any other program that does it? Not like I don't want to pay the $17, but I also will never use all the other features...

Thanks! (I'm probably buying it anyway LOL. It does what I need.)

The Garmin Nuvi 650 does

The Garmin Nuvi 650 does have a 3D mode. On the nuvi 350, you can go to "Settings">"Map">"Map View" and then change it to "3D View"

Hey. Thank you a lot. I was just digging and I never for once thought it'd be under that LOL. I just that that was for map orientation since I've had it set to Track Up for so long (since I bought it).

GeePeeEx simplifies things

One of the cooler things that GeePeeEx editor does is open a Google Maps display right on it's own screen with your locations and you can verify your addresses visually in map view or satellite view. You can drag the crosshair to tweak the location and it will automatically update the location coordinates in the POI file.

You can do that by jumping between several programs and exporting from one and importing with another, etc. For $17 you can do it all in one single program.

I agree -- make your life easy

Buy the GeePeeEx Editor.

Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.
