Thanks Now I need to find some for 2 gig cards at $20 dollars each with free shipping.
Rebates.....HMMM...I hate them. Isn't in CA they are banned or against the law. I always keep a copy of my rebate forms and all the information so the people I'm sending it to can't say I missed something on them.
2 gig cards are quite a bit more. I bought aa Kingston 1 gig microSD a little while back at Buy.com and the rebate is being processed. Never have trouble at Buy.com. You can fit continental usa on a 1 gig with 100 megs to spare..

Circuit City has the 2GB ones for $40 dollars and they are the Sandisk brand. I tend to go with companies that offer a lifetime warranty on there Memory cards or a 5-10 year warranty.
I know Garmin recommends that you use the Kingston and Sandisk cards. $40 dollars isn't to bad considering what my Digital Camera Memory cards cost.
Man I was looking up prices on these things and got confused with the Micro and Mini SD cards. I had to go back and check which format I needed
On my gps the whole US took up a little over a gig. I got a good deal on my 2gb card on Black Friday at Circuit City. I think I paid like $20 for it after it was all said and done
I got a 2GB Kingston SD card (Item #: N82E16820134445) for $15.99 plus shipping. (I ordered a microSD card for my phone at the same time and the total shipping was only $6.49.)
Ordered on Saturday afternoon and received it on Wednesday. Lifetime warranty.
Is the site you gave me the same card as a Micro SD card. I want this for the Handheld GPS I buy which requires Micro SD Cards. There are just to many formats out there.
Hmmm I think after doing a search again that the Micro SD card is different than the SD card. But I will probably guy it for my Palm Pilot as it only has a 1 gb SD card in it.
If you find any good deals on 2gb Micro SD Cards Mama let me know. I prefer Kingston and Sandisk cards.
I ordered two of them as I have another device that uses them as well. I usually don't like to order from a company that I can't find on resellerating.com but I did.
My complaint is they charge to much for shipping. Come on these things hardly weigh anything. $6.95 for 1 card and $13.90 for two cards. I will report back on my order.
Wow I got my two SanDisk cards in the mail. They made a total killing on the shipping but over all the price wasn't bad.
If these are microSD cards man how small are the miniSD cards. I can't believe they get 2gb on these things.
I can see myself loosing one of these cards real easy. Well I have the cards now all I need is the Hand held GPS Unit, topo maps and case. which I might get next week. My theory is if I don't have the money I don't buy it.
Other than maps, how do you use these cards? The memory left over in my 360 already holds the songs I listen to ... and of course once I loaded them I hardly ever listen to them because they drain my battery so quickly, or the Garmon sound isn't great in the car.
and they play just fine. For better listening in the car, you can get a little FM transmitter to plug into the earphone jack on your 360, and you then get the MP3s through your car radio, interrupted by the unit's navigation instructions, or if your car's audio system is capable, you can directly plug from the 360's ear phone jack into the car audio system. There are places where one can get an after-market kit to add that capability to many car audio systems - they're marketed as iPod accessories.
Is there a maximum to how much memory you can use in your gps unit? I thought it was 1 gig. I am using the sandisk 1 gig (best buy,19.00 on sale)mp3's,pictures,poi's, and i can't amagine what it wouold take to fill it. I agree, i like to stick to brands i trust.
I plan on ordering my Garmin 76CSX next week. I wanted to pay off my credit card before I added more to it. I bought the 2 gig cards for that unit. These are OEM Sandisk cards. The price was great for them.
posted this also on the "sd card for nuvi 660 post".. ecost has 4 gb card PATRIOT for 9.00 after rebate. i'll get one and let everyone know how well it works. LONZ

The Micro SD card is
The Micro SD card is different (much smaller) than the SD card. Note that there is also a Mini SD so make sure you are getting the right one.
The micro SD I got for my phone was only 1GB ($12.99).
I'll let you know if I see any legitimate deals on a 2GB micro SD.

Thanks!

No 4gb MIcro
The highest MicroSD card I could find was 2GB. It would be great if they had 4gb or 8gb ones.
For my digital camera I shoot with all 4GB & 8GB cards.
