Mapquest (loading directions onto nuvi 350)

When I go to Mapquest and try to load directions onto my nuvi 350 the wrong serial number comes up. It will say that I have successfully sent the waypoints to the following devices and it will say Nuvi (unit id and then a number not at all close to mine.
Try it on a different computer
Try doing it on a different computer. I have successfully loaded the waypoints on my Nuvi 350.

When using mapquest and sending the address to your garmin the only thing your sending is the address, I dont think your model will handle routes, only the higer end ones do that, after you send the address it should show up in your favorites,

You can't load Mapquest "directions" to your 350, only the start/end addresses, which are sent to your GPSr as waypoints and stored in your Favorites.
The nuvi will calculate the route ("directions") to the addresses when you use "Where To,Favorites" and select one of them.
Do the waypoints show up in Favorites on your 350?
The unit id is encoded in a file named GarminDevice.xml located in the Garmin folder of your nuvi. Look in the file for a string <Description>nuvi</Description></Model><Id>
There will be a numeric string after the <Id> tag , followed by a </Id> tag. The digits should match the unit id reported by Mapquest.
