Garmin C330 /street Pilot

 

I have a Garmin C330 that when you turn it on a message Cant Unlock Maps pops up.

Reset

TRY RESET the unit, the recet button is usually behind the faceplate.

Streetpilot c330 HARD RESET

I think the most comprehensive reset is by:
1) Turn Power Off
2) Touch and hold lower right corner of your screen
3) Turn Power on while keeping finger on lower right corner.

You will get a message asking if you want to reset. Your finger will be on the "Yes" button. If you take your finger off, you will reset.

If you don't want to reset, carefully slide your finger to the left to the "NO" which is just to the left of the "YES" and then release.

Wouldn't do this unless you have everything backup up and prepared to restpre.

As I recall, my Custom POI's were not reset but everything else is - you will have to reset Home, your only Favorites will be 3 Garmin locations,
reset time zone, just like a new unit except for the Custom POI's.

I suspect this works on many of the Garmins but my only trial is on the c330.

On he maps, sounds like you could have some kind of license issue. The maps will only work on one unit and that is the one where first installed.

Do you have an SD card in the slot with maps on it? If so, they probably aren't unlocked for that unit.
