POI Sounds and Icons

I'm fairly new to the Garmin product and was trying to upload through the POI Loader. I created and have legitimate POI's titled Lighthouses. I placed an MP3 into the POI folder on the desktop and renamed it Lighthouses and uploaded the file to the GPS device.
However, the Proximity Alerts button does not show in with the Extras icon nor does the MP3 play when I near the POI. Can someone please help me?

Thanks!!!

I was having a problem with alerts

You Must Set Alerts

Make sure you have read:

Alerts don't automatically play -- you must set an alert -- usually by operating POI Loader in manual mode. You must also have alerts turned on in your settings.

Sounds

Thank you.

My thought is there is something within the loading program I'm missing. Using a Garmin C550 unit, which so far is an awesome unit.

Following all the steps I've read with regards to sounds, just trying to find what I'm missing.

OK

Did you operate POI Loader in Manual Mode? Did you set a proximity alert distance of 1/4 mile or more? Are you sure that the location of the POI is within 50 ft of the road on which you are traveling? Did you check to make sure alerts are turned on on the GPSr?
