garmin frozen?? (how do I reset?)

i recently was maneuvering through the screens of my garmin 200w and it just froze, is there a reset button or easy method to remove battery?
power switch does not assist either, screen completely locked up 
Look near the SN # and press

My 660 has frozen in the past and most of the time just power off works. In one case I had to reset.

Guys - you are a lifesaver - here am I stuck on the a16 on northern france and the garmin nuvi 250w just locks up - freezes - can't turn off, won't do anything - and I am tryng to find an obscure town in the loire on a deadline. No obvious reset button but as you point out it is there, located on back of unit under the serial number label (and actually marked "reset" - but in such an unintuitive place you'd easily overlook it).
Just wanted to post to say thanks to the world wide web and the magic of handheld internet devices - I'm on my way again.

I am just curious, was it really hot when your nuvi froze? I have a nuvi 680 and while driving in Arizona, it just froze. It wouldn't power off or anything. When I pulled out the power adapter, nothing, I guess it just went into battery mode, but it was still frozen. I found the reset button and when I pushed it, the nuvi powered down. Then I let it cool off and restarted it. No problems. I am wondering if it just got too hot. Anyway what good is the unit if it gets too hot on the dash!
