2009 map update not loading

Hi, this is my first post. I have a new nuvi 650, downloaded the 2009 map update, after running the rmu_cnnant2009.exe file, I get to the point of putting in the KEY, then it tells me the unit does not have enough memeory to load the 2009 map. What am I doing wrong?

try removing some of the language files that you dont use

2009 Map Update Not Loading
The Nuvi 650 memory shows a capacity of 1.38 GB with 1.37 GB used space and 13.6 MB free space. Downloaded map file is 2.04 GB. How is this file supposed to fit?

New new map will overwrite the old map but it is slightly larger so you need to free up some space on the unit.
The file you downloaded includes more than the maps. The maps themselves are slightly larger than 1GB.
As indicated above, delete some of the unneeded voice and vehicle files from the unit after backing them up to your computer.

Thanks for the help. I deleted the mp3 files, then I was able to load the 2009 map.

mp3's and anything graphic in nature are generally large files. You can add them back after you update the unit. Just back them up to your computer hard drive.
