My cubicle-mate said he read an article that the GPS satellites might be upgraded soon. Does anyone know what that means for us Garmin owners?

Mostly for the benefit of the military and some improvement to civilian use.
It is not certain if the improvements will benefit future GPSr or the ones we already own.
