Chevy POI

I wanted to ask what qualifies as a data entry? I’m guessing it would be a POI with latitude and longitude the name and maybe description.

I’m In the process of creating a POI of Chevrolet dealers. Looks like I am going to create a POI by state. I have most if not all dealers in Tennessee. I think there are almost a hundred so far; I may have missed a couple. Anyway when I load the .csv file into the editor all of the dealers are there. After saving the file in .mgln format the entries are the same as the .csv. But when I load them into my Magellan 4250 there are only 49. Is this due to limitations with the GPS unit?

thanks grin grin grin

Kind of a strange way to start out the question....

Two things come to mind:

The Maestro line only uses (displays) the Lon, Lat and NAME fields. It stores the Descr. field but I haven't found any way you can see it once loaded.

The NAME field must be unique. Duplicates will be thrown out (silently) during the loading process.

It depends on how you are displaying them once in the GPS. Pretty sure I remember that if you are doing a "Search", it will only display the first 50 matches.

One of those things (or both) will probably explain what you are seeing.
