Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.

Audio books

A good one "Shadow Divers" for anyone that has not tried an audio book.

"Quando Omni Flunkus Moritati" Garmin Nüvi 680

Also here

There are also free audio books here: http://librivox.org/

However, you need to be aware that they are read by volunteers and you will likely get a different narrator for each chapter. I started to check a few of them and some of the readers left a bit to be desired. They are free though....

Ed - Garmin Nuvi 350.

One free book.....

You can go to http://www.emusic.com and do their free 14 day trial. You get 35 free music downloads plus one free audio book. Get what you want and CANCEL before the 14 days is up and you are good to go. Some long books take two credits so you can't get them on the free trial. These are mp3 files. I got a book that is over 7 hours long (not the 14 hour book I wanted) and it was a ton of files. I think there were 109 of them! I had no problem finding one I wanted. My problem was wanting more......

I'll likely get the rest of my books from audible.com though.

Another Alternative

A much more affordable alternative is a company based on the Netflix model: http://www.simplyaudiobooks.com/Learn-More-Rent/dp/45/ . Yes, many of the books have to be converted to mp3's, but the savings are significant. And don't forget your public library.

Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.

Books

Wow, a lot of free entertainment. Thanks for the links.
