IQue 3600 importing POIs

I have a Garmin IQue 3600. Unfortunately it does not support the new Garmin POI Loader.
How can I import POIs into this model?
Right now I make a new waypoint on the IQue and then manually insert latitude/longitude.
Obviously I'd like to find a better way to get POIs into the IQue.
Thanks
Ique 3600 and no Custom POIs
The Ique3600 does not support Custom POIs. Yes you can add waypoints as you need them.
I use MapSource to build and Maintain my waypoints on my 3600.
There are a few things I really like on the 3600 that I wish the Nuvi's had. One being the ability to save, edit, erase, download Trip Logs in the 3600 itself.
This way you can make a long track into small segments and delete the ones you don't want. And just show which ever small segment you want. Example: the streets in my new neighborhood are not on the maps bit I can still see them as tracks on the 3600.
Also Route lengths do not seem to be a problem with lengths up to 6500 miles.
The 3600 also lets you use multiple waypoints as VIAs, don't know just exactly how many but I've used up to 12 on 1 trip.
To bad the Nuvi's don't have a lot of these features.
But My &50 is good also, Just not all the features I was used to with the 3600.(at least the ones I use).

can iQue3600 warning on the approaching of POI?
A related question, can 3600 be setup to automatic warning about the approaching of a POI, such as a red light or speeding camera?

iQue Waypoint Proximity Alerter
I'm new to poi-factory, and I know the question is just short of a year old, but one never knows who else might be reading later.
A good collection of user-written utilities for the Garmin iQue series can be found here:

The piece of software called Waypoint Proximity Alerter appears to be what spwang was after. The version I have on my iQue is 1.1b
There are things I still prefer about the iQue over the nuvi 755T, the degree of configurability of detail on the map display being one of them.

It has many helpful programs for the iQue family in various threads.
