Business POIs using addresses

When using business addresses to generate a poi file through Google Earth, etc. the actual business can be quite some distance from the coordinates that go into the file.
Has anyone taken this into account and if so what did you do?
I have driven around some malls for a long time before I found the business I had on gps.....

I think in some cases the reason is that the mailing address of the business is used.
